Silica Introduction
Silica is widely found in nature and forms rocks with other minerals. Natural silicon dioxide is called silicon dioxide and accounts for about 12% of the mass of the earth's crust. It exists in crystalline and amorphous forms. Quartz crystals are crystalline silica with different crystal forms and colors. Colorless transparent crystals in quartz are so-called crystals. It has a ribbon or layered shape called agate (containing impurities).

Microsilica fume can fill the gaps between cement particles
Microsilica fume can fill the pores between cement particles and simultaneously form a gel with the hydration product and react with alkaline magnesium oxide to form a gel. In cement-based concrete, mortar and refractory castables, adding an appropriate amount of silica fume can play the following roles: 1. Significantly improve the pressure resistance, flexibility resistance, impermeability, corrosion resistance, impact resistance and wear resistance. 2. It has the functions of water retention, anti-segregation and anti-seepage, which greatly reduces the pumping resistance. 3. Greatly extend the service life of the crucible. 4. Significantly reduce the falling ash of spray raft and castable, and increase the thickness of single spray. 5. It is an important part of high strength and has been applied to C150 for thousands of years. 6. It has about 5 times the effect of cement. It can be used in plain concrete and low cement castables to reduce costs and improve durability. 7. Effectively prevent the occurrence of strontium aggregation reaction. 8. Improve the compactness of cast refractories. When coexisting with Al2O3, the mullite phase is easily formed, which has higher high temperature strength and enhanced thermal shock resistance.
