On December 21, 2021, the project of "Energy-saving Renovation of Sintering Waste Heat Steam Pipeline" of a large state-owned iron-making plant was officially launched.
The thermal insulation effect of the original thermal insulation layer of the main steam pipeline of the plant is attenuated, and the heat dissipation loss is increased, which is far from meeting the energy saving requirements. The project uses a new type of nanomaterial - aerogel as the main thermal insulation material for this section of the project. The aerogel nanoporous composite thermal insulation material can effectively solve the problem of corrosion under the thermal insulation layer because of its porous nanostructure, ultra-low thermal conductivity, and excellent water-repellent and breathable properties, and can sustainably and stably play the role of thermal insulation and energy saving for more than 10 years. Reduce post-maintenance costs. In addition, the thickness of thermal insulation and energy-saving materials is reduced by 2/3, and the energy-saving effect per unit length of pipeline is increased by nearly 80%, achieving the purpose of slimming and energy-saving.
