Recently, the project acceptance and scientific and technological achievements evaluation meeting of "Research on Pilot Application of Silica Aerogel Materials in Temperature Control Granaries" was held. The China Cereals and Oils Society organized experts to check and accept the project, and confirmed that the granary silica aerogel thermal insulation technology has reached the domestic leading level.

The project "Research on the Pilot Application of Silica Aerogel Materials in Temperature Control Granaries" is the first time in China that the silica aerogel thermal insulation coating system is used to spray the outer wall and roof of the warehouse, and the aerogel waterproof and thermal insulation coils are applied to the roof of the warehouse. The gel insulation board carries out the ceiling operation in the warehouse, and conducts the thermal insulation test on the warehouse envelope structure, formulates the thermal insulation effect test plan, compiles the test effect analysis report, and proposes the optimal thermal insulation scheme. The research results of the project show that under the same outdoor temperature conditions, the average temperature of the test warehouse is 3°C to 6°C lower than that of the control warehouse; The thermal effect is remarkable.

The expert group fully affirmed the performance of the silica aerogel product through inquiries and discussions by reviewing the project acceptance materials, checking the effect of the demonstration project on site, and listening to the project report, and agreed that the project passed the acceptance.

The project successfully passed the acceptance inspection and completed the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements, marking an important step forward in the application of silica aerogel materials in the application of granary insulation, and achieved phased results.
